I don’t usually like to get involved with politics, mostly because it makes me feel stupid and hopeless which isn’t a great combination for morale. However, amongst the talks and turmoil of the Democratic Party seemingly pleading with Biden to step aside, I can’t help but brainstorm who should take his place.
That would be the perfect transition, he would make a heartfelt speech about how he is putting the good of the country before his pride and personal gain (I’m just spitballing here) and then he would make an exciting announcement that he has found the perfect replacement.
Here is a list that no one asked for of people that I think should take over as the Democratic Presidential candidate:
Hillary Clinton – Experience, poise, grace, intelligence, a charming smile, need I say more? There is no doubt in my mind about her and you can’t deny that she has an incredible resume for the position. Also the whole email thing was a little ridiculous, there I said it. Grow up.
Michelle Obama – I mean come on, she also has experience as a first lady. She is beautiful and sweet while still taking no shit. The only obstacle would be she is not shy about how much she wanted out of the White House. I can’t blame her but Michelle, your country needs you.
Maya Roudolph – She is Mother. Just watch her SNL Mother’s Day Monologue and you’ll understand. Maya Rudolph Mother’s Day Monologue – SNL
Serena Williams – She is tough, stoic, stunning, powerful, smart, and honestly a bit intimidating when she wants to be. She has broken barriers, records, and rackets. She is afraid of no man and I truly believe she could get stuff done.
And yes, the list is all women. It’s time America. The men have been doing this long enough and (in baby voice) they have been doing a very good job! Well…not the best job, things are a bit of a shit show right now.
Politics feel more divided than ever and it just feels like things are not going well. How much longer do women need to run shit behind the curtains before they get a chance to be on stage? All I’m saying is let’s keep an open mind and give a bitch a chance.
